Kia-lee is the Senior Human Resource Manager for CHAUVET® Lighting. Kia-lee has over 13 years of progressive management, operations and human resource experience. She has an Associate’s degree in Business from American InterContinental University and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a triple major in Management, International Business and Human Resources at Florida International University. Kia-lee serves on several boards including the HR Florida State Council, National Association of African Americans in Human Resources-South Florida Chapter (NAAAHR) and South Florida Compensation & Benefits Association (SFCB).

Mila has over 10 years of progressive Human Resources Management experience in nonprofit and corporate, for-profit organizations. Mila is the Human Resources Manager for Balfour Beatty Construction, has a Masters degree in Human Resource Management from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelors degree in English from the University of Florida. Her areas of expertise include employment management, performance management, training & development, compliance and employee relations.

Mike Gelin, CEBS

Mike has 7+ years of experience in the insurance and benefits industry with additional expertise in aspects of underwriting, strategic planning, mergers/acquisitions and compliance. As a Benefits Consultant for Seitlin Benefits, he is responsible for business development and client management. Mike has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Morris Brown College. He is also the VP of International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (South FL Chapter) and is a member of both South Florida Compensation & Benefits Association and National Association of African Americans in Human Resources.

Claudette is the Director of Employee Benefits for Broward College. She has over 14 years of progressive human resources management experience. Claudette has a Masters degree in Human Resource Management from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelors degree in Business Management from Florida Atlantic University. Her areas of expertise include employee benefits management, professional training and development, recruitment and employee relations. Claudette is also an adjunct instructor for Human Resource Development at Broward College.

Maria Perez, CPP, PHR, GPHR
Past President
Maria is the Human Resources Director for Arrigo Dodge Chrysler Jeep based out of West Palm Beach. Maria is certified in Payroll and Human Resources and has held positions in the entertainment, publishing and telecommunications industries. A graduate of New York University, her areas of expertise include designing and executing innovative, cost-effective and value-added compensation and benefits programs, HRIS, payroll, policy formulation, training and development and employee relations. In addition to serving on the HRABC board and committees for the past 9 years, she founded the Broward County Association of Payroll Professionals, the local payroll chapter. Maria has been honored by the South Florida Business Journal for Excellence in HR.

Donnetta worked for a fortune 500 company as Regional Communications Manager and has several years of experience in communications, community and public relations. She has volunteered with Take Stock In Children as a Mentor and was a Co-Chair for the American Cancer Society - City of Sunrise 2009 Relay for Life event. Donnetta has a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

Beatriz is a Community Outreach Manager and Certified Credit Counselor for Consolidated Credit Counseling Services, Inc. Beatriz belongs to the Broward Wealth Building Coalition, the Task Force for Broward and Miami-Dade Prosperity Partnerships, the Florida Prosperity Partnership; she volunteers with REACT teams for Workforce One (Broward) and South Florida Workforce (Miami). Beatriz is a Trustee Member of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Hispanic Coral Gables Chambers of Commerce.

Angel has a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida, a Bachelors degree from Stetson University and was awarded the LL.M. degree by the Yale Law School. He has been selected by the South Florida Legal Guide and Florida Super Lawyers as one of the top Labor and Employment lawyers in South Florida.

Viviana is a Regional Human Resource Director for Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) for the Shared Services Division with responsibility for multiple lines of business including Patient Account Services, Health Information Management, Revenue Integrity, Payroll Service Center, Supply Chain and IT&S. She has over 20 years experience in Human Resources and has spent 17 years in Healthcare industry. Viviana has a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from University of Phoenix, and holds a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management from Florida International University.

Sandy has held executive HR positions in healthcare and educational organizations for over 15 years. She served as Chair of the Leadership Development Task Force with Palm Beach County's Children's Services Council and is Co-President on the Board of the Drucker Society Global Network’s South Florida Chapter. Sandy has a Masters degree in Human Resource Development from Palm Beach Atlantic University, a Bachelors degree in Organizational Management (summa cum laude) and is a certified Praendex Predictive Index analyst. She serves her alma mater as adjunct Professor in Human Resource Management, Leadership, Organizational Management and Communication.

She has a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelors degree from the University of Miami.
