Committees
A great deal of the success of HRABC can be directly attributed to proactive and enthusiastic committees. Your participation in various organizational and educational committees is encouraged.
Programs: Each month, the program committee arranges for a speaker to address the association on current and informative topics.
Membership: The membership committee is responsible for the recruitment and retention of members, and the planning and implementation of ongoing membership drives.
Professional Development: The professional development committee coordinates study classes to prepare HR professionals for national certification and arranges professional development workshops offered to our members.
Community Relations: This committee develops partnerships, coordinates public relations, and manages chapter outreach efforts including education in the community.
Hospitality: The hospitality committee coordinates the monthly meetings.
Student Chapter Relations: The student chapter committee provides a liaison to local universities and colleges with RH student chapters.
Legislative Affairs: The legislative committee provides the membership with ongoing HR related legislative information and drives the HR Voice campaign.
Sponsorship: This committee raises money for the chapter by soliciting vendors to sponsor social hours and advertise in the chapter communications.
Communications: The communications committee is responsible for providing information to chapter members about HRABC events, initiative, etc. via the e-newsletter, website and media announcements.
Diversity: This committee develops diversity related programs and workshops.
Workforce Readiness: Newly created, this committee is responsible for the Workforce Readiness Symposium. In addition, this committee also works with community partners and schools to develop various programs. www.hrabc.org
